About

Emmett Goodman is an animation-based artist, writer and instructor. His work combines character animation with a visual aesthetic that uses classic cartoons, film history, traditional drawing and digital experimentation. Born in Chicago and raised in Cleveland, Emmett attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and later went on to earn his MFA in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts. He has worked as an animator on multiple studio projects, and his independent work has been screened in multiple film festivals. Emmett teaches animation and digital art at Pratt Institute, among other places. He has also written articles on animation culture, and has been published in ASIFA Magazine.

Emmett lives in New York City.
